Director, Data Architecture

The position is responsible for defining the policies, procedures, operating model and data architecture for ELCs information assets across the Enterprise. Working across functional areas, the Director of Data Architecture is responsible to facilitate the operations of the Information Governance council that governs key master data and analytical data sets, perform required analysis of data sets to inform governance decisions, advise and lead the technical implementation of policies for data sets to be ingested for information consumption, standardize definitions and semantic models, and ensure the interconnectivity of data sets through leveraging common reference data.
Drive ELC Enterprise Data Strategy (50%)
Information Governance Maturity Model Definition and Operating Model
Enterprise Data Quality Framework
Information Governance Implementation
Technology Blue Print
Analytics Roadmap and Execution
Implement and continuously improve the data governance process (30%)
Develop artefacts required to support initiatives and create the input templates to document the solutions to satisfy all stakeholders
Review and improve process definitions as ELC matures in data governance
Liaise with Compliance, Regulatory and Security to adjust to a continuously evolving external landscape
Operational role to run the process and support the initiatives (20%)
Onboarding Projects, ensuring adherence to data governance processes (incl. documentation needs)
Data Provisioning in the Enterprise Data Lake
Guide implementation of data policies
A successful candidate must be comfortable working with senior project sponsors, domain owners, data stewards, members of the enterprise data team across all functional areas, continuously driving consensus and advancing the policies towards curated, clean, enterprise-wide data sets that represent the single version of truth. The candidate can articulate the importance of data quality within the enterprise to cross-functional stakeholders, can propose solutions by aligning information governance council, enterprise architecture, legal and compliance as well as information security, and facilitate and guide the implementation of policies across a range of technologies. As a key role to make ELC a data-driven company, the candidate must be well versed in change management, communication and stakeholder management principles.
