This team is responsible for building and maintaining core portfolio management infrastructure in support of the Portfolio Management teams across all asset classes. The position is for a senior architect/ developer lead on this team who can help architect the underlying technical platform in support of the investment teams and help build out functionality used globally by Portfolio Managers.

The candidate needs to have an understanding of portfolio construction, research and risk reporting solutions that offer essential insights into the constantly evolving state of raising alpha and managing risk. We are looking to build a sophisticated suite of tools and flexible open platform technology to unify the view of risk across the front office

Key Responsibilities:
? ? ? ? Responsible for the overall architecture of applications for portfolio and risk managers.
? ? ? ? Understanding of the design, development and maintenance of a front office technology platform
? ? ? ? Buildout of scalable technology platforms, e.g.: Portfolio Management Dashboard
? ? ? ? Building high performance development teams across middle and back office
? ? ? ? Be part of an empowered team following agile methodologies.

Key Skills:
? ? ? ? Expertise working with portfolio management / buy side technology is needed
? ? ? ? The Individual must be hands on developer, with an ability to lead and design solutions with the existing team on Day 1 ? with a potential to possibly manage a few developers.
? ? ? ? While the choice of technology stack is not too prescriptive, the preferred options are as follows:
o Strong experience in an object oriented programming language ? either C# or Java
o Experience with Scripting Language such as R, Python and Matlab
o Familiarity with NoSQL database design (MongoDB, Cassandra)
o Familiarity with building cloud based applications (AWS, Azure)
o It is preferred if the individual also has experience designing interactive web interfaces using client-side JavaScript libraries such as JQuery, AngularJS, and React.

Desired Qualifications:
? ? ? ? Either Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Science or Engineering is acceptable
? ? ? ? 10-15 years? experience in front office application development and as a development manager.
? ? ? ? Ability and willingness to learn fast, self-motivate and pick up new things easily
? ? ? ? Analyze and solve programming tasks independently and pro-actively
? ? ? ? Strong critical thinking skills and communication skills
