The Core Reliability Engineering (CRE) organization works to improve the reliability, operability, and maintainability of our trading systems. We have an opening for a hands-on manager for the CRE Quality Assurance team. This team owns the flow of how code and models make their way from development to production. Their mission is to build infrastructure that makes it easy for engineering teams throughout our firm to perform thorough integration testing on their respective systems and then aid teams in developing these integration tests.


YOU WILL TAKE ON THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical and career guidance for a team of reliability engineers.

  • Act as a conduit between infrastructure and development teams, being sympathetic to the concerns and priorities of both.

  • Engage with software engineering teams on standardizing and improving system and integration testing processes and software.

  • Set the direction for the team through working with stakeholders and prioritizing projects.


YOU SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or another highly technical, scientific discipline.

  • 7+ years of experience with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Reliability Engineering or Test Engineering.

  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages (such as Python, Java, C++).

  • A proven track record of automation and an algorithmic approach to solving problems.

  • A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, performance bottlenecks, etc.
