The Director of Innovation Next is responsible for the development of innovative product and digital solutions to build Tommy North America's best in class positioning with consumers. Responsible for bringing all assigned innovative advanced concept briefs to an executable and commercially costed viable state to drive topline sales and/or bottom line margin expansion.. This role requires a creative problem solver, strong in understanding the business strategy, great connecter, collaborator and communicator, project management, design, innovation and digital. This is a unique role that requires the ability to engineer and cross pollenate multi-industry disciplines, know-how, and technical best practices to develop disruptive, industry changing products.. Success for this role will be delivering both product and digital innovation solutions that will help to take the Tommy Hilfiger Brand into next level in North America region.. Work seamless with all TH functional leads to help determine needs around future product design development and digital innovation solutions. Manage assigned project work streams across TH, categories and technical disciplines, bringing new ideas to the forefront for the business. Leads the conceptual thematic ideation of technical solution concepts. Build strong service level relationships and trust with all internal customers and cross-functional partners by developing strong understanding of each individual business. Maintain a deep understanding on industry and societal trends, to include bestseller factors and specific product cost factors. Stay abreast of retail landscape for trend and product opportunities. Partner with design and technology teams to maintain clear and concise communication to meet all product/technology deadlines and keep programs on track. Keep Sales, Planning, and Merchandising teams updated in all communications. Consult with partners if cost, lead-time or other implications exist to drive closest-to-market execution. Oversee revisions, correspondence and approvals. Maintain seasonal project communication consistent with brand standards. Run any required field trials and compile/report data back. Repeat process until product samples and/or technology capabilities are clear and commercially viable. Prepare for Commercialization phases; collaborate with commercial and marketing leads to drive consumer facing opportunities. Detailed Responsibilities:. New Concept Product Development:. Responsible for working from briefs with External ID, Mills, Converters, and Design on development options to meet costing targets and go to market dates when assigned. Work with third party partners to develop new concepts in textile and multi-function product lines to solve product brief. Allocate development and sales samples based on affordability, vendor capability, and GSC strategies. Direct efforts in any special garment development. Assist design with any product development issues. New Digital Innovation Solutions development:. Identify, assess, and prioritize digital initiatives that solve pain points, modernize and differentiate the Tommy Hilfiger NA customer experience, and create inspiring digital customer journeys.. Forge internal partnerships with key stakeholders across the business to help create unified external partnership approaches, where appropriate, and identify synergistic opportunities across research, incubation, technology, and more.. Leverage data analytics, understanding of customer needs/trends, assessment of current Tommy Hilfiger experiences, and competitive insights to identify opportunities that maximize customer engagement and lifetime value. Translate highest priority opportunities into compelling business cases that define business value and ROI. Leverage an entrepreneurial and resourceful mindset and strong collaboration skills to test, pilot, and iterate on high impact initiatives. Plan and execute digital roadmap projects, meeting critical milestones and deliverables. Ensure digital enhancements are executed in alignment with strategy on time and within budget.. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:. Experience:. Minimum 10 years of experience in the technical project management space. Education:. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Skills:. Extensive knowledge in product development, garment construction, raw materials, trim, production and manufacturing, trade, supplier, and vendor market knowledge. Extensive knowledge in project management, user experience build out and agile development process. Must be able to work in a fast paced and strategically in a highly creative environment. Must operate effectively across cultural and time-zone barriers. Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, PDM knowledge. Strong decision making and negotiating skills. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills. Highly organized and reliable, possessing highly analytical function. Strong, confident, compelling communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams.
