An exciting opportunity has just emerged with a global midsize CRO for an Executive Medical Director in Biosimilars, Rare Diseases, and Rheumatology. Our client already has a large global footprint and are only looking to grow that further. They still offer a flat structure and huge opportunities to progress.


As the Executive Medical Director, you will be accountable for providing the company with medical and scientific input to clinical research projects in the therapeutic areas of Biosimilars, Rare Diseases, and Rheumatology. These responsibilities include but are not limited to, hypothesis generation/testing protocol design and protocol development; analysis and reporting of study results.


Job Responsibilities:

Providing medical and scientific expertise within the company and providing therapeutic insight within the clinical research programs.

Generating, developing, and executing the clinical program design, study protocols, clinical study reports (CSRs), training material for CRAs and investigators.

Responsibility to support business development through corporate presentations, assessments, and bid defenses presentations.

Utilizing a high level of knowledge of projects and therapeutic engagements including attendance in meetings and conferences.

Ability to interact cross-functionally and to lead medical/scientific staff members within the respective therapeutic area.


Job Qualifications:

Medical Degree (MD) with 10 or more years of experience within clinical research and drug development.

A background of working within a Clinical Research Organization (CRO) is preferred.

Knowledge and experience of the therapeutic area with a successful track record within Phase I - IV of clinical research.

Ability to lead, supervise, and develop your reporting staff by using strong planning and managing skills.

Experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external vendors, sponsors, etc.

A background of working in a fast-paced and moving environment.
