As a Software Product Assurance Engineer you will have a strong background supporting software development, field installations and technical debugging. This position verifies and integrates testing of electronic table game products; it requires up to 50% travel. Qualified candidates are customer centric and are experienced communicating directly with customers to ensure product and services are completed and customers are fully satisfied with the workmanship and company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will report to the Software PA Manager and performs assignments with urgency to meet strict customer deadline demands, with high quality, meeting or exceeding our customer s expectations, within the scope of work. Additionally, it is responsible for ensuring that our products meet required functionalities, product specifications and regulatory compliance.
Investigate field issues and reproduces these in lab environment with the engineering team to resolve technology problems; research in partnership with engineers, alternative solutions
Create efficient work estimates and project status reports to our software engineering and field installation team
Perform field installations; install, test and deliver gaming machines to customer sites worldwide
Prepares live test environments consisting of slot machines, computer servers and virtual machines, flashing and preparing video display hardware
Perform requirements and design analysis, creates test plans, executes tests and verifies defects
Verify product functions, regression and integration testing using a variety of testing methods.
Create work estimates and project status reports for engineering and field installations
Review product documentation, and provide demonstrations and training to internal leadership teams and field support engineers
Diagnose systems and devices; adjust to systems set-ups on IGT's products
Create or enhance automated tools to improve our release processes
Creates test standards, identifies project risks and develops a contingency plan
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field or additional equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 5 years software engineering, DevOps, product assurance, field service and/or software testing experience combined
Must have functional experience with test scripts and automated test tools as applied to C++, C#, Python and SQL programming, TCP/IP Networking, and working with virtualization technology
Functional application experience with Perforce, JIRA as well as software release process
Advanced systems software knowledge and trouble shooting skills
Experience working in teams and on projects using Agile/Scrum for software development
Professional level verbal and written communications skills
This position requires travel up to 50% of work schedule in order to support customers globally
Helpful: Programming background in Java, XML, and .NET; Experience testing gaming products, writing/executing automated software tests, ting web based/mobile products#
