In this capacity, the ideal candidate would represent the FIRST brand as an implanted team member for a well-known technology company. The Head of Production will be responsible for managing the technical production team that delivers high-profile, technically complex events requiring support with project management, audio/video, staging, lighting and design needs. A strong technical understanding is needed, with practical experience operating event production systems, with extensive experience in A/V and technical direction for both corporate events and live experiential events.. The Head of Production will also be responsible for the consultation and development approach to operational/ organizational structures within the client's existing and new portfolio of diverse spaces. Providing expert industry knowledge through consultancy to provide business case justifications and operational approaches to new ideas and innovative solutions as directed by the client organization. This part of the role requires strong client management skills and an expert knowledge in consultancy practices of design and operational delivery of unique and complex technical production environments.. Point of contact and advisor for Global Events Services Lead. Enhance the overall production standards and account management partnership with client. Partner with FIRST People & Culture team on company initiatives, recruiting, and employee relations matters. Liaise between FIRST internal departments, Team Leads, and clients on service delivery. Develop relationships with existing clients and maximize on opportunities to generate new business. Grow and maintain new relationships internally with strategic vision and focus on enhancing FIRST's account structure within the client organisation. Maintain direct access and partnership with the Operations Manager in Americas and EMEA , ensuring consistency of account and delivery standards, innovation and growth. Provide pertinent information to the Global Business Director, Group CEO and Operations Managers to ensure operations are consistent and are aiding account growth. Meet with regional Team Leads regularly via video conference as well as travel on location as needed to provide support and mentorship with a focus on employee welfare and team morale. Work closely with Team Leads to identify areas for growing the production delivery offering across the account. Oversee global relationship management and engagement of suppliers including venues and audio/visual providers to ensure consistent event delivery. Provide senior technical expertise and support to regional leads to help meet client needs (i.e. BAU delivery, talent management, supplier management, equipment sourcing, developing up and coming sites & design needs, marquee events). Build and maintain effective working relationships with client's leadership team through weekly meetings and management of pipeline of event support. Provide guidance and requirements for resource levels according to business needs. Deliver proactive recommendations to the client with regard to evolution and development of the book of work. Infuse FIRST brand / producer mind-set into the account teams. Lead integration of wider agency skills and resources into relevant projects and events. Lead on ad-hoc project oversight for wider agency engagement in event delivery outside of EP spaces. Oversee the maintenance of a global operational best practice manual. Jointly accountable with the Operations Managers and Team Leads for Service Level Agreements (SLA) ensuring these are closely monitored and achieved at all times without negative financial implication to FIRST. Ensure expert knowledge and production resources are kept up to date by conducting industry research and attending, industry-recognised events. Implement training and efficiency improvements, and creative delivery. Lead by example and display the company's core values (Ambition. Creativity. Excellence. Integrity. Teamwork.). QUALIFICATIONS:. 15+ years' overall professional experience. 12+ years' experience and in-depth understanding within the technical event production/broadcast environment including lighting, audio/video output, rigging and power. Experience managing direct reports including providing clear and consistent feedback and conducting performance evaluations. Strong experience leading and motivating colleagues in a manner that enhances working relationships and encapsulates the company brand and values. Proven client relationship skills and ability to support stakeholders across an organization. Personable, credible and able to establish trust with team members. High level of proficiency in the technical delivery of high-quality events & operating production systems real-time. High level of proficiency in the direction of project teams and sites for events. Video output experience with expert technical understanding of systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must to build and maintain relationships. Ability to prioritize while adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of CAD and or (Vectorworks). Health & Safety expert knowledge - NEBOSH certification preferred. Experience managing day-to-day changes at every level of detail. Willingness to travel abroad for programs and meetings as needed. Familiarity with labour union rules globally. Ability to manage many projects at once in various locations with varying levels of complexity. Excellent supplier/vendor knowledge, contract negotiation skills and knowledge of market pricing. ADMINISTRATION & GENERAL:. Assume responsibility for own environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies while having clean smart surroundings. Work intelligently and ensure that team management is aware of problems or issues which negatively affect productivity. Build excellent relations with the team, clients, vendors, and key venues through positive communications. Ensure knowledge is shared within the team to enable them to work smarter
