Job Title: Director of Infrastructure Services (Healthcare) Location : NYC Duration : Direct Hire w/Client. JOB DESCRIPTION:. purpose of position. Functions as part of the CTO Leadership team and is charged with developing, maintaining and implementing the technology infrastructure strategy to support business objectives. Establishes, formulates and operates technology based strategies/solutions aimed at keeping Client functioning and on the forefront of IT innovation. Maintains awareness of developments in information technology, services, security, computer hardware, as well as acquisition and implementation of new services, solutions and hardware and keeps Client aware of future trends and techniques. Works under limited direction.. Responsibilities:. Provides strategic direction of the design, development, and maintenance of technology infrastructure projects.. Directs the current and long range strategy for Client technology aimed at keeping Client on the forefront of change and innovation. This includes the analysis of purchase systems, hardware and software, or the internal design and development of hardware and software systems. Dispenses technical advice, guidance direction and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures.. Provides recommendation to senior management on emerging technologies. Conducts competitive analysis and provides \"best in class cost effective solutions.. Serves as strategic liaison for key organizational initiatives between business units and their customers, both internal and external as needed.. Provides technical advice and process guidance during the creation and implementation of all phases of the overall IT vision.. Operates the IT infrastructure and maintains high levels of service and delivery throughout Client.. Collaborates with senior management and IT management within Client to establish a clear understanding of the market in which Client delivers services and translates requirements into effective solutions (both technical and process).. Acquires new technologies and ensures that the proper initiatives are lunched to support the successful integration of the technology into the business process.. Along with other key business and IT decision makers, devises and implements the IT infrastructure framework and processes and implements the recommendation for the organization.. Develops policies and structures for managing the IT infrastructure. This includes all Client's computers, servers, peripherals, network, telecommunication systems, data centers and other technological components.. Ensures that all IT assets are functioning in accordance with determined service level agreements for local and remote staff as well as the extended workforce.. Along with the Vendor Management Office, manages and oversees all IT partnerships which include vendors, suppliers, and outsourcing agencies to buy IT assets and ensure the efficient running of the IT infrastructure.. Provides strategic direction and oversight of analysis of purchases systems, services, hardware and software, as well as internally designed hardware systems.. Provides recommendations and current technology solutions to the VP, Engineering & IT Solutions and the Information Technology Leadership Team.. Performs all duties inherent in a senior managerial role. Approves staff training, hiring, promotions and terminations and salary actions, prepares and ensures adherence to the department budget. Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or other related discipline. Masters degree in same preferred.. Experience:. Minimum 5 years progressively responsible IT management experience required.. Prior healthcare industry experience with a strong understanding of the technological needs and regulations required in a healthcare setting required.. Previous experience managing a medium to large size staff of technologist in a service level driven environment required.. Proven track record supporting an organization with multi-state multi-site locations and remote workers. Demonstrated ability to work with IBM, Microsoft platform products required.. Proven negotiation skills to leverage organizational purchasing power and also to draw up best practice contracts and service level agreements required.. Strong communication skills (oral and written) in order to communicate with senior leaders, co-workers, and vendors to resolve problems and negotiate resolution required.
