Job Summary The Sales Engineering Manager - Financial Services manages a global team of Pre-Sales Engineers who are accountable for technical sales support of Network and IT services, including multi-layer networking, security, public/private cloud, managed services/applications, storage and backup Job Description Build a high-performance team, hire and retain the right talent in the right roles, set goals, delegate work, hold reports accountable, and develop and empower direct reports to make decisions and take action that demonstrates the Company's values; maintain a positive open demeanor, encourage different points of view, move team forward through change, provide timely information, communicate context for business decisions, recognize accomplishments and foster teamwork and collaboration. Develop and ensure attainment of new sales and margin growth for strategic accounts which contribute to the company's bottom line through increasing revenue to meet or exceed company revenue and market share objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Develop and implement long-term product strategy with sales management to ensure existing and potential customers are provided with options and enhancements to their existing network. Develop and implement strategies and plans with sales management to recapture business lost due to the company's service limitations, network quality, tariff, and/or pricing issues. Recommend process improvement initiatives. Establish and control expenses and operating budget by participation in the planning process and maintenance of approved plan and budget Oversee and participate in programs that ensure the attainment of expense objectives and recommend programs to control and correct budget overruns. Coordinate and direct the preparation and presentation of technical proposals to customers and provide leadership and technical guidance to staff and customer technical staff to ensure full understanding of how the company's services will best meet the customer's needs. Provide technical guidance to Sales Engineers as well as internal and external customers as needed in the development and implementation of technical customer solutions and remove barriers to enhance the customer experience. Partner with the account team to ensure the accuracy of data for each opportunity in the sales funnel. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and 5-7 years of related experience. Experience with Market Data and Exchange connectivity. Experience working with or in the banking or capital market industry. Strong communication (oral and written), leadership, organizational, presentation, project management and team building skills. Must be results focused and well versed with a proven ability to design and sell a broad set of network and IT solutions. Ability to support/interact with large customers/accounts. Ability to travel as needed. Preferred Qualifications 3 years management experience preferred.
